Centennial Park has a large number of exotic (introduced to NZ) trees, many of which have been planted by the Centennial Park Bush Society.

Around the lower end of the park is an area we call the arboretum, where there is an interesting collection of exotic species, including a number of different conifers, camellias, magnolias and liquidambers.
