With a park at its heart, two streams, a beautiful beach and pockets of privately-owned native bush Campbells Bay is already an urban wildlife haven. To help keep it that way, Centennial Park Bush Society has founded CBUS – The Campbells Bay Urban Sanctuary.

WOW. What a morning! Huge thanks to the wonderful crowd of willing and energetic volunteers who joined us today for one of our biggest planting events yet!!!
Our Stream Savers group, who are working on a pilot project restoring one tributary of the Northern Campbells Bay stream from its source in Beacon Ave to Beach Road, held their second working bee on Sunday.

We all loved exploring Centennial Park and its surrounds during lockdown, now’s your chance to give something back to the park.
Thanks to the energetic team of volunteers who planted over 200 plants near the Pupuke Golf Course 18th tee on Sunday!

Incredible sea bird action at Campbells Bay Beach earlier this week! The birds are loving the locked down Hauraki Gulf Marine Reserve 😊
Finch flocks have been less common on the Golf Course in recent times but park rim resident Julius Yang took these photos of a flock of 19 goldfinches which have been frequenting his garden – about a third of these birds are juveniles.
